A trap that addicts, drunks and other sinners fall into is this – “I just cannot forgive myself.” This is one of the most arrogant and self-centered attitudes I can have. What I am actually saying or thinking is this – “I am not willing to accept or believe that God can or will forgive me!” When I say, “I just cannot forgive myself” I am, in reality, placing myself in a more moral position than God! If the God of the Universe is willing to forgive me, who am I not to? Today, I choose to be forgiven. Today
